WOW, it's hard to believe it's 2020!
I want to wish everyone a very Happy New Year & I hope it brings you joy & happiness.
Boy I remember as a child that it seemed like it took forever for me to turn 16, then turning 21 seemed like it would never happen.
When my older sister turned 30 my nieces said she was an old fart & my sister was complaining about how time was starting to fly by. It wasn't long before I started to notice the same thing. Instead of time dragging by, once I turned 30 it seemed like every new year got closer & closer together I'm not sure how that works!
Many years ago when I was in graduate school & I did one of my internships working with people in a nursing home. My patients would make comments about how things change as you get old. Well, I was only 30 at the time so it was hard for me to imagine that happening to me & what it would be like. Heck, at that point in my life I was still very athletic playing tennis, racket ball, swimming, hiking, etc.
As I got older & my mother was now a senior citizen I remember her saying as she's looking in the mirror, "getting old is not for the faint of heart". Well, my mom would never lie to me so I knew it had to be true & she was very right. So much for those golden years....don't let them fool you, it's not really so golden. It's more like the rusty years...things don't move like they used to & unfortunately 3 in 1 oil doesn't work on your joints!
Moral to the story is, don't get old! Not really... but I do highly recommend you take advantage of the time you have to do everything on your bucket list while you still can!
Have a wonderful year!
